How is your school term going? Have you already begun term 2 or are you still in term 1? Ours is going well besides my own lack of self-discipline at times ugh. I haven’t had to make too many changes to the daily schedule other than switching around a few subjects from one day to another. We have a pretty good groove now. Hopefully you are finding your groove as well!
Let’s dig in to this edition of The Dispatch, and if you need to take it in small chunks, do that!
In the last The Dispatch we listened to Part 1 of Middle and High School Math. Let’s check out Part 2! Be sure to have a pen and notebook handy!
I believe a calling is important because when homeschooling gets hard, we need to trust that God will sustain us. I equally believe a philosophy of education is important, though, because we need a method that guides us. Without a method, we will be persuaded by every new interesting phenomenon in the homeschool world, and our homeschools will become disorganized, overwhelming, and uncertain. ~Alisha M.
The teacher training resource that we are recommending this month is by Liz Cottrill. I was fortunate enough to hear this talk in person, and it was incredibly moving and inspiring! You can find the video here.
Liz will be coming to the CMS Retreat next March and will be sharing during several different sessions. Have you registered yet? If not, you definitely should! It is going to be a wonderful time of refreshing our minds and souls!
